You really have to hand it to Microgaming. Not only do they have a great Vegas Strip Blackjack, they also have a Vegas Downtown version. I’m not sure why I find it nice that they cover all the tourist hotspots in America’s playground, but I think it adds a full, well-rounded touch.
Unlike Vegas Downtown Blackjack, which features two decks of 52 cards, Vegas Strip Blackjack has four decks. You will have to adjust your strategy accordingly. The games are virtually the same other than that, with the same table limit of 500 credits.
This game abides by Microgaming’s general rules, which include the ability to split your hand up to three times (for a total of four hands). You cannot, however, re-split Aces once they’ve been separated; they will each receive one more card and then you are forced to Stand.
Doubling down is allowed except, obviously, when the initial cards result in a blackjack. There seems to be a bit of variation with regards to whether or not you can double down after a split in this game, so you’ll want to check out the individual casino’s rules if that feature is important to you. You will be able to double down after splitting Aces, however.
In Microgaming’s Vegas Strip Blackjack, the dealer is allowed to peek. If his initial card is an Ace, insurance will be available to you if you want it (we are of the opinion that you don’t want it—but do what you need to do, we’re not here to judge).
Vegas Strip Blackjack is available in single-hand and multi-hand versions. Luckily, you’ll find them both and more blackjack games at the recommended casinos below.
