The Fire 88 classic slot, available at Pragmatic Play casinos, uses a Chinese luck theme across a small amount of visual real estate to give you an exciting style of gameplay that centers around a set of features that give you some good ways to win. It's all about making sure that you have ways to win frequently and ways to win big prizes, and you can see that reflected in both the pay table as a whole and in how the features break down. The graphics are alright; they're not terrible, and they're not great. However, it's definitely a title that centers on the play side of the experience.

    Game Layout

As a classic-style game, this title has three reels. There are also three rows of symbols, and you don't have to worry about blank spaces coming up in this game: Three symbols show up on each reel on every single spin. A total of seven paylines are used, which is very useful with some of the features, as you'll see down below. You can bet up to 10 coins on each of those lines for 70 coins per spin, and the coins go from $0.01 to $0.50. That places the minimum bet at $0.07 per turn and the maximum at $35 since you will not be able to adjust the number of paylines available on each spin.

We want to point out that all of the payouts in this title are based on a multiple of your total overall bet size. Because there are seven lines, this can turn into a bit of a mess in terms of having a lot of off-the-wall win sizes. As a result, we're going to talk about wins assuming that the total bet size is $1.40. All of the resulting prizes are in dollar amounts, and you can scale them up or down according to your own individual bet size.

    Wild Dragon Symbols

There's a dragon head symbol that looks pretty cool, and it's the wild symbol in this game. He shows up on every one of the three reels, and that helps a lot to get wins on this seven-line game since he'll cross over multiple lines at a time and give you opportunities for a payout of 50x for three of a kind. This is the largest regular payout that you can get, and it's a pretty good prize considering that it's several times the size of your total overall bet.

    Dragon Re-spin Feature

The dragon wild symbol is also responsible for a feature that gives you an extra opportunity to win. If you pick up two dragon wilds anywhere on the reels, your payouts will be given to you as usual. However, then you'll have a free re-spin where the third reel without a wild on it will spin again to give you another chance to pick up some payouts. It's a fun way of adding in extra value.

    Triple Jackpot Feature

Get three of the 88 Jackpot symbol to trigger the jackpot bonus game. The way this bonus game works is that you'll essentially be given one of the three jackpots at random after picking from golden medals. You can earn 38x for the lowest jackpot, 88x for the middle jackpot or 888 for the grand jackpot. These are multiples of your bet as a whole.

    Other Payouts

There are really only six regular-paying symbols in this slot, and that makes it a little easier to get winning combinations. Three of the 88 symbol earns 20x, and three of the red diamond pays out 12x. You can earn 6x for three of the green and gold coin as well.

The three bar symbols are firecrackers. The triple green gets you 3x, and the double purple is worth 1.20x. You can also earn a 0.60x payout for the red single.

This is a fairly solid game considering that it's a classic slot. With Fire 88, you aren't going to get extreme, top-level graphics or a ton of featured packed into one game. Pragmatic Play's three-reel titles usually center around two or three key features, and that's what you get here as well. It'll give you a solid gameplay experience, but you have to realize that it has some inherent limitations. If you're okay with that, then you'll have no problem with this title, but it's definitely not for everyone.
