Gameplay

Battle Royal is Play ‘N Go’s 5 reels, 3 rows video slot with 20 fixed paylines which pay left to right. Betting is also fixed at 20 coins per spin but you can change the coin value and the betting range goes from 0.20 to 100 pounds. You need to land at least 3 matching symbols on a payline to win a payout.

The Royal Flash Feature

The Royal Flash feature is triggered at random during the base game and it transforms all low-paying symbols into the same symbol offering you the possibility for a bigger win.

Free Spins - Heads Will Roll Feature

Player needs to pick one of six wives he or she thinks would survive the guillotine.

With every free spin the guillotine on one of the reels will drop. If the wife symbol is visible ether full or the top half of the symbol only, she gets beheaded and becomes wild for the rest of the free spins round. Free spins continue until only one of the wives is left alive. If the wife that survived is actually the symbol player has chosen, an additional instant prize is awarded.

The surviving wife than faces the guillotine reel herself.

Player picks a guillotine reel and if after the spin, wife ends on that guillotine reel, she is beheaded and The Long Live the King Feature is triggered. If the wife is lucky enough to survive, player returns to the base game.

Long Live the King Feature

In this feature player needs to help the king to collect loot and escape the hunted dungeon.

You pick chests to collect the instant prizes and after every pick a ghost of one of Henry’s wives will move across the screen and over one row of the chests. Henry will die if he is on the way of the ghost and the bonus feature will end.

Very important thing during this feature is the key that is hidden in one of the chests.

If the player finds it, it could be used to escape the dungeon and collect the mystery multiplier for their total winnings. But you could also continue opening chests to collect more instant prizes.

If this feature ends because Henry is caught by the ghost, the total round win so far is awarded. Multiplier is only awarded when the player chooses to escape.

Our Take

Battle Royal by Play ‘N Go is captivating slot. With the medieval theme and king Henry VIII as the main inspiration you can’t do wrong. Graphics are done well and features are somewhat innovative but definitely fun. Battle Royal will for sure keep you entertained for a long time.
