Red Tiger Gaming's God of Wealth free slot is based loosely on the idea of a fortune-based deity in Chinese mythology. You'll see him standing beside of the reels on the left-hand side of this game as a 3D figure. The reels themselves stand on golden coins, and that's exactly what you're going to be trying to get when you play this game. The animations of the reels are extremely smooth, and the graphics are crisp and sharp. It's a particular visually appealing game, and the pay structure is solid as well.

Slot Format

The layout of this game is 20 fixed paylines across five reels and three rows. This is about as normal of a game as it gets, which is completely fine since so many super-solid games have been built on similar structures. Betting starts at $0.20 per spin with a wager of $0.01 on each payline, and you'll be able to bet up to $500 per spin depending on where you're playing. Some casinos will have a lower cap for the maximum available wager in the game, so it can depend on where exactly you're playing. Regardless of the specific cap, it's clear that players at all stakes will be able to find a bet size that works for them with this game.

Random Wild Symbols

The golden crown is the top symbol in this game. Five of a kind gets you 500x, four earns 100x and three will pay out 50x. The prize for five is the largest regular win available. While they appear on all of the reels as usual, they can also appear randomly as a part of a random wild feature. The bottom line is that this feature gives you ways to win that you wouldn't have received otherwise, and that's always going to be something that's very seriously welcomed.

Scroll Bonus Feature

Red Tiger Gaming has done a great job with making sure that this bonus feature is really easy to get. To trigger it, all you have to do is get one of the scroll bonus symbols on the reels. Once you do that, you're taken to a second screen where you can win as much as 138 times your total bet. This is the largest overall payout that you can score in the game, and it's the equivalent of a 2,760x line bet win.

Free Spins Bonus Feature

When the man standing on the side of the reels shows up on the actual reels in this video slot, he acts as the free spins bonus symbol. Three or more get you a random number of free turns, and you'll have stacked and grouped wilds during this feature that give you better chances of hitting multi-line wins and lining up some of the larger payouts in the entire game. This is the only character who appears in this game, which is fine since the slot itself is named after him, but we would have really liked to see some other figures in this graphical style because it's done very well.

Three High-paying Balls

You'll see three balls on the screen, and they are the high-paying symbols in the game. Five of the green gets you 150x, and you can earn 125x for five of the white. Five of the yellow is worth a 100x win as well. These wins are pretty reasonable, but the symbols themselves are generic, and we can't really understand why they went for three different balls instead of doing something to show off their ability to make excellent graphics like they did with the free spins symbol.

Card Rank Symbols

Five card rank symbols are also included at the bottom end of the pay table in a stylistic font. Five of the red A earns 40x, five of the yellow K will get you 35 and five of the purple Q is good for 30x. You can also earn 25x for five of the violet J or 20x for five of the cyan 10 symbol. While these symbols aren't done in some kind of fancy 3D graphics, they do have a very nice painted lettering style to them that really fits the theme well.

In Summary

God of Wealth is a game that looks and feels amazing. With that having been said, we really question the three balls used for the high-level symbols because they seem super out of place in such an otherwise great-looking video slot. There may be some reason for this that we're missing, but we think Red Tiger Gaming dropped the ball on the visual side of this game by not really going all the way and showing what they can do.
