The Chinese Treasures video slot is based on giving players a lot of ways to get paid in serious ways within this Asian theme. There are different types of dragons, koi fish and plenty of other related visuals that come together to build a very cohesive theme. You can find this title in any Red Tiger Gaming casinos, and it has a super-balanced pay table with a fairly high hit-rate and feature-driven gameplay. If you're the type of player who likes low-volatility experiences, then this is a game that will most likely appeal to you in a very real way.

Format and Layout

This game has five reels and three rows for the typical 15-symbol layout. There are 20 paylines across that grid that pay from left to right only, which is a pretty standard layout. They have made the betting setup a lot easier to manage than what you find with a lot of games from their competitors, however. Instead of having two or three different controls that combine to give you the total price per spin, you only have one control to manage for your total stake. This start at $0.20 per spin, which is like having $0.01 coins on each of the 20 paylines. The maximum will vary depending on where you're playing, but it can be as high as $500.

Wild Multiplier Symbols

The number one symbol that you want to see when those reels spin is the wild multiplier. It's a large, round medallion that has a square hole through the middle of it, and it will appear on all five reels. When you get at least one of this symbol as a part of a regular winning combination, you'll be given twice the normal payout for the prize, and that's a pretty strong thing to offer.

The payouts for the wild symbol are pretty decent as well, but there are some issues with the multiplier that we'll point out down below. Five of a kind gets 300x, the largest single-line win in the game. Four of this wild is worth 100x, and three will earn 50x. It's hard to not be happy with these pays considering that having three or more wilds on the reels will likely help you to get other payouts that you would have missed otherwise.

During the regular play and free spins, the dragon can appear to turn reels completely wild as well.

Free Spins Bonus Round

There is a symbol with three items on it in red with golden symbols on those items, and this is the free spins symbol. When you get all three on the reels at the same time, a free spins bonus feature is launched. The number of free spins you get varies because it's set to be randomized, but you'll normally get somewhere around a dozen on average. All of your payouts are doubled with a 2x multiplier during this feature, so you get put in a scenario where that multiplier can combine with the wild multiplier to give you an effective 4x multiplier overall on certain wins.

Symbol Set and Biggest Payouts

There's a golden dragon symbol that pays 150x for five of a kind, and you'll find a dragon with wings that gets you 120x for five. Five of the turtle dragon is worth 100x for five of a kind, and you'll make it 80x for five of the dragon dog standing with a golden ball. The koi fish get you 60x for five as well.

Something inconsistent about the payouts in this game is that you could end up in a situation where four of a kind of the wild symbol could give you a worse payout than four of a kind of the golden dragon if three or fewer wilds were included in it since it's a 100x payout compared to a 120x one. It's worth pointing out in case you run into that situation and can't figure out what the issue is with the pays.

There are three tiers of pays for the card rank symbols. The A and K get 25x, and the Q and J pay 20x. A 15x win is available for five of a kind of the 10 and 9 symbols. These wins are pretty small, but they are made bigger by the multipliers.

Overview

The Chinese Treasures video slot is a good example of Red Tiger Gaming putting together a pretty straightforward, low-volatility game. The combination of multipliers in the features along with the way the wilds can appear at random with the dragon feature create an exciting style of gameplay. While the graphics are a little more on the bland side, this slot will appeal to some based on how it plays.
