What's a better place for Gods than the calm and beautiful Egyptian deserts? We're about to head right there, to the sandy valley in Egypt, a small peace of paradise on Earth.
Yggdrasil’s Valley of the Gods is considered to be one of their best products that hit the market, let’s find out how Valley of the Gods 2 will do!
Is The Theme Interesting?
Valley of the Gods 2 by Yggdrasil software provider is an online video slot with the Egyptian theme.
You may look at it as the ancient one, but there's nothing ancient about this edition! It's most definitely modern and fun to play with all the features it brings. As for the graphics, they are really good, if you ever played the original Valley of Gods, you will see that the design is improved along with the reels.
The background is a sandy desert with palm trees and pyramids. There's a bright blue sky above and the soundtrack adjusts to the plays, sometimes you'll hear the slow paced music tune and at times it will accelerate.
The reels are overflowing with 10 Symbols in total, 6 low and 4 premium paying ones. The premium paying symbols are depicted by four Egyptian Gods, we have Anubis, Horus, Sobek and Bastet.
The most valuable is the Bastet God, worth up to 20x the bet for his combination of 6. On the other hand, the least paying icons are represented by a set of royals A, K, Q, J, 10 and 9.
Although the title contains a Wild Symbol you won’t be seeing it in the base game but only as a part of the feature, stay tuned and find out more in the features section below!
How Much Can You Bet And What Features To Expect?
Valley of the Gods 2 grid setup is a bit different from its original edition. We have 6 reels where rows expand ( 1-2-3-4-5-2 starting ) and a starting number of 240 win ways which can expand to its full potential of 20,160 ways to win.
The betting range is quite wide offering both low and high stake rollers a fair chance, starting from €0,10 and going all the way up to the maximum bet of €100,00 per spin.
The game boasts high to medium volatility and offers maximum wins of up to 5,481x the stake. The RTP is on the positive side, sitting at 96,3% while the hit rate is 20%. If we are to judge Yggdrasil’s releases based on the stats, they are always fair and this product is no exception.
Here’s how the features work. To kick off, you’ll notice 3 Scarab Meters positioned to the left of the reels as well as the Blocker Tiles covering parts of reels.
Whenever you score a winning combination, the winning symbols will have their scarabs fly up and destroy random Blocker Tiles. The number of Block Tiles destroyed depends solely on the number of symbols used in the winning hand.
You’re then to be rewarded with a Re-spin and if another win occurs during the same round the process will be repeated, meaning you’ll be given another Re-spin and so on. Once you’ve managed to destroy all Block Tiles you’ll be rewarded with an extra life.
This means that you’re also getting access to the Meters positioned left of the reels. Each of these Meters acts as a Modifier to your spins once filled. The winning combination scarabs will now be in Red, Blue or Yellow colors.
5 Red Scarabs will fill the extra life Meter in which case you’ve won an additional life. The Blue Meter will increase your win multiplier by x1 while filling the Yellow Meter will result in 1 random reel turning Wild.
Once you run out of Re-spins or there are no new winning combinations, a life is consumed. And in case you run out of lives, the game shifts to its original formation.
Ready For Final Verdict?
Valley of the Gods 2 looks like a brilliantly designed video slot judging by the features system. It is quite enjoyable and entertaining but it can also provide a decent payout. If you liked Valley of the Gods then you’ll doubtlessly love this one!
