Wild Toro 3

Toro returns to the Spanish arena in Wild Toro 3, the latest entry in ELK Studios' bull-themed series. The release comes as the first Wild Toro game approaches its 10-year anniversary, with Toro now joined by his nephews, the Los Toritos, while the Matadors have reinforcements of their own. 

The game begins with a 5x4 reel setup but does not remain fixed as the action develops, with characters able to alter the available reel positions. 

There are two volatility choices, along with respins, a bonus, and a super bonus, and the maximum win is 25,000x the bet. 

Theme and Symbols

This online release stays firmly with the Spanish bullfighting theme, using Toro, the Toritos and Matadors as the main characters on the reels. The changing reel structure is an important part of how the game works, as several symbols can move or affect the size of the playing area. 

Toro begins on the fifth reel as a walking Wild and heads towards the left side. Whenever he moves, the game awards a respin and his multiplier increases. 

The Toritos work as sticky Wild symbols and can appear on reels 2, 3 and 4. Landing one expands the reel arrangement by one position and starts another respin. 

Matadors can also arrive on reels 2 to 4 and move left, with each movement producing a respin. If a Matador catches up with Toro, it becomes charged and creates a path consisting of regular Wilds or tall multiplier Wilds. 

Much of the game's visual and mechanical identity therefore comes from these characters moving across an expanding playing area.

Betting Options and Special Features

There are two ways to play Wild Toro 3, with Day offering normal volatility and Night using high volatility. The game has a stated 94% RTP. 

Night mode also introduces Midnight Bullfight, which becomes available when the Moon triggers the feature. Once activated, a random quantity of tall multiplier Wilds can occupy up to five reels. 

The Golden Rose Bonus provides another feature route. After a Golden Rose is collected, the game switches to a separate grid where a 2x2 Toro is accompanied by falling Golden Roses, Toritos and Matadors. 

Toro travels around this grid, taking out Matadors and picking up Golden Roses along his route. Players can also use ELK Studios' X-iter option (click here), which offers five different ways of accessing the game's features. The choices range from a 2.5x bet option that gives more than three times the chance of triggering the bonus to a 250x bet option, with the super bonus available in Day mode and Midnight Bullfight available in Night mode.

Conclusion

Wild Toro 3 takes a feature-heavy approach, with the gameplay centred on characters that move, create Wilds and change the size of the playing area. Toro's multiplier increases as he travels, while the Toritos can remain in place as sticky Wilds and the Matadors can generate further Wild positions after meeting him.
