Egyptian-themed slots are pretty common, and the 3 Elements online slot, available at FUGA Gaming casinos, uses this type of concept as its basis. You'll be exploring pyramids and trying to find treasure in this game as a beautiful lady explorer, and you can see the pyramids in the desert in the background of the game. The graphics in this game are pretty good, and the feel of the game is pretty fun because you'll see lizards crawling across the sand at random with other surprises that come on the reels, but the volatility is high enough that you may experience some degree of swings.
Slot Layouts
You'll actually get a choice of three different slot layouts in this game, but they all three have five reels and three rows. You get to pick from three different numbers of paylines with 20, 30 and 40 being your options. Unlike many other titles, there's not actually a penalty for picking fewer lines in this game, so you're welcome to pick out whichever one you want for literally any reason you want. It's simply about what you prefer, and we like how they made this type of customization a part of the experience.
Your available betting range depends on which format you use, but they are also all based on the same set of coins, so it's easy to understand what all of your options are. You can essentially wager between $0.01 and $2 on each line, so the minimum bet size for the whole game is $0.20 with 20 paylines, and the maximum is $80 with 40 paylines. Again, you can choose however you want from the three available formats with no RTP penalty.
Treasure Chest Bonus Round
The whole point of a game about digging for treasure in ancient pyramids is about finding the treasure in the first place, and that's what you'll get with the bonus game in this slot. There are pieces of an amulet that show up on the second, third and fourth reels of the regular game. If you get all three of them on the reels at the same time, then you'll be taken to a set of chests on a second screen. Picking from the chests allows you to find different treasures, and getting a match between two of them gives you nice payouts.
Re-spin Bonus Feature
The skull symbol shows up on every one of the reels, and it's a scattered bonus symbol. When you get at least three, they will turn into different colors and give you a number of re-spins. The different colors correspond to various extra wilds and other goodies like multipliers on your wins that go up to 7x or stacked and expanding wilds. These wilds from the re-spin feature do not substitute for the girl symbol, but they do substitute for everything else but the amulet.
Other Symbols and Payouts
The purple eye of Ra symbol shows up on the middle reel, and when it does, it can switch spots with adjacent symbols to give you better payouts than you would have received otherwise. It's the only other non-paying symbol in the game.
What does pay you, however, is the girl symbol, and she pays you in a major way. In fact, she gives 2,500x for five on a payline, which is the largest win you can get in the whole slot. Her dog pays you 1,500x for five, and the red airplane she takes in and out of the area is worth 1,200x with five of a kind. Five of the jackal head, dancing gold figure and scarab pay 500x, 400x and 250x, respectively, as well.
At the bottom end of the pay table are the card ranks. The red A, blue K, green Q and purple J can pay out between 200x and 100x for five-of-a-kind combinations.
Our Thoughts
We like what FUGA Gaming has done with the 3 Elements slot in terms of giving it some characteristics that make it stand out from the crowded Egyptian slot sub-genre. It may not be enough to jump to the top of the pile, but it's a competitive effort. We particularly like the option to pick from different numbers of paylines, and the re-spin feature is a fresh approach on free spins that works a little differently with more chances to get paid than the usual gameplay. Overall, we're not sure that a ton of players are going to love this game, but it has enough appeal that it's clear it's not a complete flop either.
