With increased splitting options and a more liberal twist to doubling down, Cryptologic creates a little more excitement with its European Blackjack. The game includes six decks of 52 cards that are shuffled at the completion of each game.
European Blackjack features the same table limit features as Cryptologic’s Vegas Blackjack, so you can expect your experience to be even more customized based on how much risk you’re willing to take.
Once you’ve downloaded European Blackjack, you’ll have the option to sit at five possible tables, each with different ranges of stakes; table limit ranges will start with the $2-$50 table and max out at the $500-$5,000, with plenty of variety in-between.
The rules for European Blackjack are fairly similar to the Vegas and Atlantic rules employed by Cryptologic, with a few differences:
- The Dealer is dealt his second card after you have made your decisions on all of your hands. This won’t seem like too large of a difference, except for the fact that the Dealer can’t obviously check for blackjack.
- The Dealer will stand on all soft 17s.
- Unlike most European Blackjack games, you don’t have to have a two-card total of 9, 10, or 11 in order to double down.
- You may split up to three times for a total of four hands, if you have exact pairs in your hand. Pairs must be identical and not just same value (for instance, Kings must be paired with Kings).
As is their standard, Cryptologic has an extensive Help menu if you want to dive into fully customizing your game, learning some quick keys, or enabling the enhanced audio features.
You’ll find European Blackjack on par with the rest of the Cryptologic blackjack suitefully animated, fully personalized, and fully enjoyable. Play European Blackjack at one of the following recommended casinos!
