Microgaming has announced a new upcoming addition to its portfolio of games, as part of a recently signed exclusive supply deal with Snowborn Games. The Vault slot is scheduled for release on 28 April.

Snowborn is a new developer on the gaming market, based in Stockholm and Helsinki. It is a studio “with an ambition to create entertaining, high-quality online slots,” set up to build analytics-based games designed to deliver unique and customized gaming experiences. The team comprises experienced and knowledgeable professionals with a passion for building cutting-edge, high-quality content.

This slot developed for Microgaming is the brand’s first title. Players who try this game will be joining a devious burglar, Jewel, on its intriguing adventures. They will come to life in the form of a thrilling 5-reel mobile-friendly slot with 20 paylines and loaded with striking visuals and features, including respins, stacked wilds and extra spins.

What Exciting Features Are There?

The theme is quite interesting...

…and revolves around the thief Jewel who is preforming the ultimate heist to obtain the world’s largest diamond, “The Pink Dawn”, protected by a vault housed within an elegant art gallery in Paris. Snowborn has based the back story of its main character on Lisbeth Salander from Steig Larson's Millennium series.

While the base game is quite exciting on its own...

…there are several extra features to sweeten the deal and challenge the player's slot playing strategy.
Here are some special additions that make gameplay more engaging:

  • 2 types of wilds – A standard 1x1 tile wild substitutes for any symbol except bonus symbols, while the combinations of these wilds also payout up to 100 times the stake for five of a kind. The other wild appears during the Vault Bonus round and comes with expanding power - it completely covers the middle reel throughout the feature.
  • The Vault Bonus Extra Spins - When 5 of scatter symbols land in view, they will activate this round and award 10 extra spins. The feature also begins with a win multiplier of x3. It increases by 1 whenever an ‘x1’ symbol lands. Along with this is the ‘+1’ symbol which adds an additional spin, so there is no theoretical max limit to how many extra spins players can get.
  • Respin feature – Triggers when 2 or more bonus symbols land on reels. The bonus symbols will lock into position while reels respin. Another bonus card appearing awards another respin and so on. The feature continues until no more bonus symbols land. Also, if five of these cards land during any respin, it will trigger the Vault Bonus.

Showcasing unique 3D art and character-based game design...

… combined with a rich storyline and audio experience, in addition to a win potential of up to 5,000x the initial bet, this game will be available exclusively to Microgaming’s operators from 28 April 2020.

Both Brands Expecting Big Things from Future Collaboration

With the new collaboration deal, the slot king has gained another valuable partner who will help in diversifying its portfolio, according to Jean-Luc Ferriere, Chief Commercial Officer at Microgaming.

We are pleased to add Snowborn Games to our growing content partner network and look forward to working with the team, who are set to expand our diverse portfolio with unique and entertaining content, starting with their debut title, The Vault,” he commented.

The studio is also excited to be a part of the Microgaming family.

Through Microgaming’s content aggregation platform, players will be able to enjoy our innovative games with leading operators in all major markets. The Vault displays stunning 3D art and a beautiful visual setting in addition to elegant symbolism to enhance the game’s atmosphere. We are proud to team up with Microgaming and look forward to providing them with many more exclusive games in the coming months,” adds Björn Zethraeus, CEO at Snowborn.
