Players who like adventure will love the Indiana's Quest slot, a game available at Evoplay Entertainment casinos. This slot combines a high-quality 2D symbol set with 3D characters, and that includes Indiana standing off to the left of the reels himself while he cheers you along in your play. Overall, there's a medium volatility here between a somewhat balanced but also top-heavy pay table and a variety of features that increase both your hit-rate and the size of your average win. As a result, this lends itself to an action-oriented style of play with plenty of ways to win some pretty significant payouts.

    Game Format

The main grid of symbols comes in the form of five vertical columns and three horizontal rows of symbols, but there aren't reels in the traditional sense. Instead, the block symbols just fall down from the sky into place. This is actually important for the features, which we'll look at down below. Players will find 20 paylines across this grid, and there are different options for coin sizes and numbers of coins per payline to make it easier to get to the bet size that fits what you're looking for the best. However, you will not be able to change how many paylines are activated.

    Avalanche Drop Feature

The main gameplay centers around the avalanche feature. When you get any winning combination, those symbols used in those combinations will explode, and new ones will fall from the sky down into their place, which amounts to a type of limited re-spin. On the first re-spin, the multiplier for all of your wins increases to 2x. On the second, it becomes 3x, and on the fourth it's 5x. All subsequent re-spins on the same paid spin are all 5x as well. This allows for some pretty serious prizes and the ability to run up several wins in a row all on the same paid spin.

    Wilds and Scatters

Indiana's hat is the wild symbol. It substitutes for everything but the scatter, and it doesn't have its own winning combinations. However, it makes getting wins easier, which means it makes activating the avalanche feature easier, and that adds some significant value.

The golden circle symbol is the scattered bonus symbol also. Three or more gives you 10 free spins, and you can re-trigger the feature during those free spins. An extra feature is also available in the free turns that's not available during regular gameplay, and we'll look at that below. On top of that, you get a 3x multiplier on all of your wins in this feature that stacks with the avalanche multipliers to give total multipliers of up to 15x.

    Random Event Features

Five different events can happen at random on any given spin. The dynamite feature has up to eight symbols explode at the end of a turn with new symbols falling in place for chances for more wins. You can also have a gorilla break through a reel to turn the whole thing wild. A rhino can run past after a spin is over to give you a free spin, and you can also get a random chance to add a third scatter if only two appear.

Finally, and during the free spins only, you can have a chance to have three reels go into sync with each other to show all the same symbols. This drastically increases your chances of winning and of hitting payouts on the avalanche feature.

    Payouts and Wins

The symbol set consists of stone blocks with different faces. You can tell if the symbol is a high-paying symbol or not by whether or not it has a decorative trim. For example, the golden mask with teal trim pays 1,500x for five of a kind as the highest-paying regular combination in the game. Things drop down to the 750x level for five of the golden mask with orange and red trim, and you can also pick up 500x when you line up five of the golden mask with green trim on a line.

From there, you have masks without trim. The blue one pays 200x for five, and five of the green earns you 100x. Players also have wins of 75x and 50x that can be had for five of the red or orange masks, respectively.

    Our Thoughts

Both the graphical aspects and the gameplay elements of the Indiana's Quest video slot show that Evoplay Entertainment knows how to put together a seriously fun game. We like the depth of the features as well and the fact that they didn't just rest on the avalanche feature without spicing things up, which is a trap that a lot of suppliers fall into.
