African-oriented Thunderbolt Casino has unveiled quite a nice gesture from its part. As a participant of the annual 67 Minutes Campaign by the Nelson Mandela Foundation, the brand has donated R40,000 to the Isithembiso Babies Home in Port Elizabeth.

As a registered non-profit organization, Isithembiso Babies Home is “providing a loving home and place of safety for babies from newborn to 3 years old, who have been abandoned, abused, neglected or orphaned.” After the baby is placed in its care, it gets treated by a range of specialists including, pediatricians, physiotherapists, and dietitians.

The Isithembiso organization is working hand-in-hand to place each child with a verified and secure foster or adoptive home, but its main goal is to “restore love, trust and security to the little ones who have already had such a traumatic start to life.

On this occasion, the online casino operator has also called out all willing residents of South Africa to make a donation to this non-profit organization and help it in its noble cause.

Statement By The Management

Speaking about the donation, Thunderbolt’s manager emphasized the importance of generosity and thanked its players for enabling this donation:

We believe that the generous spirit of the caring people at Isithembiso is the embodiment of the lessons we learned from the inspiring leader we celebrate every July 18th. His challenge to us was to better our world. Helping children get the start they deserve seems like a good way to do that.

It’s important to be generous. I want to thank each of our players for making it possible for us to contribute to such worthy organizations,” stated the management of Thunderbolt.

Besides participation in the charity action...

…the operator takes great care of its players. Alongside many permanent current promotions, the site offers a lot of great incentives on a monthly and daily basis, as well as some special offer.

The elaborate VIP club is there to provide extraordinary pampering, while the mobile users can enjoy in some special designed bonuses available at smaller screen gadgets.

The Operator Known For Its Generosity

It's not so hard to see that many big companies are involving in charity work mostly to boost their rating and create a better image for a brand, rather from the goodness of the heart. But is the reason really important when the result is helping people and communities?

Since there are so many brands that don’t participate, especially in the gambling industry, it is always refreshing to see online operators who are giving back to the community.

Thunderbolt is a rare example of such brands and it deserves all the praise for its efforts.

This isn’t the first time that a well-established casino platform for South African customers with an excellent reputation is helping the ones in need.

From 2019, the operator is participating in the annual 67 Minutes campaign.

What Is 67 Minutes Campaign?

The campaign organized by the Nelson Mandela Foundation is held each year on national holiday Mandela’s Day, on July 18th. Its call to action invites all South Africans to contribute 67 minutes of community service, as the symbolism of the 67 years that Mandela spent fighting for human rights.

Thunderbolt joined this action and last year...

…delivered 67 VitaMeal bags to orphans. Each bag contains sufficient nutrients to feed one child for a full month. This year the operator has directed its R40,000 donation to the non-profit organization Isithembiso Babies Home in Port Elizabeth, who is fighting to give a better life to abandoned and victimized babies and toddlers.
