Net Entertainment, the developer of casino games and content supplier to operators, is launching its offerings in Pennsylvania after the regulated online market went live last week.

The supplier was granted an Interactive Gaming Manufacturer Conditional License though its NetEnt Americas LLC subsidiary by the Pennsylvania Gaming Control Board (PGCB) back in March.

The company is live with their catalog of games being available to players in PA who will now get to enjoy many of the supplier’s content such as Mercy of the Gods and Dead or Alive 2.

Bringing Online Gaming to the Keystone State:

NetEnt is launching its games and software through their operator partners in the newly regulated market of the 5th most populous state in the United States.

Pennsylvania has a long tradition of land-based gaming with many casinos operating inside the state, but until now the online market was not regulated. The new laws allow for online gaming bringing with them opportunities for operators and software supplier companies to crack a new market.

“I am very pleased that the market in Pennsylvania has now opened. We are one of the few online casino suppliers offering our games right from the start, and I am convinced that our award-winning online casino games will be much appreciated by players in Pennsylvania,” says Erik Nyman, Managing Director NetEnt Americas LLC.

Weakness in the Nordics:

The news of the PA launch comes shortly after NetEnt has posted its interim financial reports for H1 2019.

According to the reports, the total revenue has decreased by 4.1 percent in the second quarter compared to the same period last year.

The primary cause of this, according to the company, is the weakness in the Nordic markets and particularly in Sweden brought about by new government regulations.

Therese Hillman, CEO of Net Entertainment, went on to describe the issues like a decrease in the number of players as well as a lowering of the average revenue per player. She added that the company will “continue to invest in increased game production, a technical platform featuring more functionality, and Live Casino, in order to defend, and over the longer-term increase our market shares in all our markets.”
