Treasure Hunter is a video slots game packed with treasure! There are 4 different bonus features in this game and each carries the possibility of large rewards. The 4 feature games are the Great Escape, Gem Select, Match and Win and Free Spins.
The Match and Win feature is triggered when 3 or more Purple Gems display from left to right across the screen. The Gem is also the wild symbol for this game and doubles all prizes when used to complete a winning combination. The number of Purple Gems used to trigger the feature is multiplied by your bet to calculate your match credit amount. Once triggered, the Match and Win feature will take you to a 12 square grid of purple gems and you click on the squares until you uncover 2 matching symbols. The multiplier value of the pair is multiplied by the match credit amount to determine your prize. You can uncover pairs in the amounts of 2x, 5x, 10x, 25x or 100x!
The Great Escape feature uses the Tiger scatter symbol. When 3, 4 or 5 Tigers display anywhere on the reels the feature is triggered and you are taken to a scene where the Treasure Hunter is being chased by the Tiger and you choose which direction he runs to escape. You can win 10x, 50x or 100x your triggering wager!
The Gem Select scatter symbol is the Treasure Map. The feature will trigger when 3, 4 or 5 Maps appear anywhere on the reels. In this feature you have to get a gem to replace the missing gem in the statue. You’re offered 5 and you pick only one. If the color you chose matches the one already in the statue, you win 60x the triggering bet! If it doesn’t match, then you are awarded either 10x, 20x or 30x your bet respectively, depending on the number of triggering maps.
The Free Spin feature is also my favorite feature in the game. The scatter symbol is the Professor and when you line up 3 or more (starting on the 1st reel, must be adjoining) then the free spin feature is triggered. 3 scatter symbols will award 6 free spins, 4 scatter symbols will award 8 free spins and 5 scatter symbols will award 12 free spins. A random free spin multiplier of 9x, 10x, 11x or 12x is applied to each spin. You can’t retrigger while in free spin mode.
The use of animated graphics and scenes builds the framework for the game and the theme carries it over the top.
