Christmas can come any time of year when you check out Red Tiger Gaming's Jingle Bells slot. This title has a Christmas theme that focuses specifically on Santa bringing presents, and in this game, they come in the form of payouts and great features. There are a lot of different gifts that you can score along these lines, and this dynamic leads to a game filled with different types of features. As a result, the gameplay is fast-paced, and you never know when a big feature is going to hit that could lead to some sizable payouts on the reels.

Format and Layout

A very common video slot format with five reels and three rows along with 20 paylines is used in this game. You'll have bet sizes that go from $0.20 to $500 apiece in this game as far as what's available. With that having been said, some casinos may have a lower maximum bet size, so it just depends on where you're playing. You'll be able to divide your bet by 20 to get your payline wagers, and you won't be able to play with fewer than the maximum of 20 lines because they are locked into place.

Wild-Based Features

A number of this game's features are based around wild symbols. The wild itself is a red present, and it's framed with a giant, golden bow. The win for five of this symbol is 400x, the largest normal win on the pay table. Wins of 200x for four of a kind and 90x for three of a kind are also formidable for this symbol.

If you get the Raining Wilds feature, then Santa Claus will throw presents that lead to random wilds. These presents will hit the reels in different places and add wild symbols to the game board. This makes it much easier to hit winning combinations in general, but it also gives you better chances of running up wins for the three payouts listed above.

The best wild feature, however, is more likely to be the mega wild symbol. This is a huge wild that covers a three-by-three square of symbols on the reels. It can hit completely on the reels or partially off, so it'll add three, six or nine wilds to the reels when it hits. It's clear to see that this can give you tremendous, multi-line wins if the right symbols fall in place, and it's probably the most valuable feature in the game.

Multipliers and Mega Reels

The Mega Reels feature gives you better chances to hit winning combinations by putting up big symbols on the reels more often. You'll also have a chance to score larger payouts with the multiplier Christmas tree feature. This will give you a multiplier of up to 20x, which is a substantial amount to say the least.

Bonus Modes

Players can find two bonus modes in this game by getting the right symbols on the reels. Three of the bonus symbol takes you to an instant win round called Santa's Bonus, and you can win a payout worth up to 800x in that feature. Aside from that, players can pick up three of the free spins symbol for a random number of free spins.

Important Payouts and Prizes

The jingle bells themselves pay 320x for five of a kind, and you will also be able to pick up 160x for five of the star that goes on top of the tree. Wins of 140x and 120x are yours for five of a kind of the ball decorations or stockings, and 100x gets paid for five of the candy cane. The bells are the only symbol in the game that pay for two of a kind or more. The rest, including the wilds, require at least three for a winning combination.

The card rank symbols pay between 80x and 20x for five of a kind for the red A, yellow K, green Q, blue J and purple 10 symbols.

Overview

It's clear that Red Tiger Gaming has completely packed this slot full of ways to win with tons of features and a lot of wild-centric gameplay. With that having been said, it does have some weaknesses. The main weakness is that some of the five-of-a-kind payouts are abnormally low, with the purple 10 paying just 20x for five being a key example. This can cause resentment from players who expect a larger prize for such a hard combination to hit, and we sympathize with that a great deal.
