The Crypbattle slot, available at Ganapati online casinos, is all about doing battle with some fearsome women who are decked out in anime-style armor and garb. You'll find that there's a bit more interaction in this title than you may find in other games, and the gameplay is designed to be as action-packed as the battle that's happening on the reels. The anime-style graphics are excellent, and it's a game that would hold up visually to any other title in the industry that uses this type of visual motif. Overall, both the gameplay and graphics are handled in a way that reflects very well on the developer.

Layout and Format

If you want to have a big battle on the reels, then you need enough screen real estate. You'll get it with five reels, three rows and 40 paylines of anime action. Betting ranges from $0.40 to $80 per spin, but there are some weird increments in there that don't necessarily lend themselves to being evenly divided by 40. That's no big deal with the way this game is structured, however, because all of the payouts are based on a multiple of what you're betting. To this end, all of the wins that we describe here will be based on a wager of $1.50 per spin. If you bet a different amount, then you'll need to scale things upward or downward accordingly.

Character Selection

When you first start playing this game, you'll be asked to select three characters from the group of five. This might seem somewhat random, but it'll actually affect some of the way the features work in this game. Unfortunately, the slot itself doesn't make this readily apparent, so here's what you need to know: The higher the payouts for the characters you choose, the higher the volatility will be for the game. Likewise, the lower the payouts, the lower the volatility. It won't change by a lot based on your choices, but it will change some, and that's the main thing that should drive your choices instead of just picking randomly.

Free Spins Mode

Three or more of the bonus symbol with a chest with gold and a sword in it will activate a free spins feature. Three, four or five will award you with 10, 15 or 25 free spins, respectively. When the round starts, one of the three character symbols you chose from above will be randomly selected to be the "dominant" symbol. What that doesn't isn't readily apparent. However, there are stacked mystery symbols that appear on the reels during this feature, and they all randomly turn into one of the three chosen characters from the character selection screen. When this happens, they'll all turn to the same character, and that makes it easier to hit multiple wins on the same spin for that symbol, especially since there are 40 paylines packed into a 5x3 layout.

Other Symbols and Payouts

The lion symbol is wild, but it doesn't get its own payouts. The bonus symbol, however, pays out 150x for five of a kind as a large scatter win. Prizes of 15x and 7.5x can also be had with this scatter for four of a kind and three of a kind, respectively.

The five character symbols have some good payouts, and it's easiest to tell them apart based on the color of their visual motif. The purple character gets you 20x for five, and five of the blue one earns 15x. You can pick up 10x for the gray and 5x for the green as well. Finally, the red gives a prize of 4x for five of a kind.

Six different lower-ranked symbols with different colors make up the lower end of the pay table. The purple and green ones get 5x and 4x, respectively. The violet, blue, red and yellow all award players with 1.25x for five of a kind.

In Summary

The fast-paced anime action of the Crypbattle slot by Ganapati can't be denied. The feature set isn't all that extensive in terms of how many features there are, but the free spins mode with mystery character symbols based on the ones you chose to play as is actually pretty interesting and allows a bit more interaction than you typically get in video slots. The pay table is structured to give players wins at the high, medium and low end with a fair amount of balance as well, and the game itself looks great. This is a solid experience waiting to happen for anyone who enjoys anime-themed titles.
