Casino Content Provider Pragmatic Play Awarded MGA Recognition Notice

Game developer and casino supplier, Pragmatic Play, has announced that they’ve been a Recognition Notice by the Malta Gaming Authority.

According to the official MGA website, a Recognition Notice is awarded to entities who possess a gaming license in another jurisdiction, but the MGA considers it to be largely equivalent with the requirements of Malta’s gaming laws.

The recognition will allow Pragmatic Play to start supplying Live Casino and Live Bingo products to MGA-licensed operators.

The developer already held the MGA Critical Supply License to offer online casino products.

Stringent Criteria:

The company has had to satisfy very stringent criteria to be awarded the notice, according to Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer for the developer, and the company is also looking forward to providing the market with bingo and live casino products.

“Pragmatic Play slots have been very popular with players in this territory and we’re excited to offer fresh, exciting new products we hope will become fan favourites in no time,” he added.

Exciting Period for the Developer:

The news of the newly-acquired licensing comes at a time when the company has been making strides both in conquering new markets and enhancing their portfolio of products.

In the last few months, the dupplier has secured several contracts to integrate their live casino selection with platform holders.

Expanding into the Austrian market via a contract with gaming giant Interwetten, and then in CIS countries with 1xbet, the company then signed agreements with SoftSwiss and with Colombian Wplay.co..

The most recent partnership with Wplay marked their first entry into the recently regulated and lucrative Colombian market.

New Games, New Tools:

Pragmatic has recently presented the now widely available game John Hunter and the Aztec Treasure, the sequel to Da Vinci’s Treasure and the developer’s response to Play’n Go’s Rich Wilde.

The game sees punter-favorite character, John Hunter, return from his search for Da Vinci’s secrets and embark upon an adventure into the ferocious jungle where Aztec treasures can be found by those brave enough to look.

Among all the exciting goings-on, it was also announced that the company has finished work on a new suite of gamification and marketing tools known as Enhance.

The software allows operators to run promotions, track player engagement and helps them boost player experience and retention.

And finally, the most recent development has seen Pragmatic sign a partnership with multinational casino operator PlayFortuna, giving them access to their complete games catalog including player favorites such as Wolf Gold and Mustang Gold.
