Booming Games Launches Primal Buffalo PowerGrid Slot

Booming Games has unveiled its latest addition to the Buffalo series, Primal Buffalo PowerGrid, which introduces a unique gaming mechanic that enhances player experience. Revealed in Malta on October 15, 2026, this new slot game offers exciting opportunities for players to win up to 2,150 times their original bet. The new feature, known as the PowerGrid mechanic, allows for additional rewards during both the standard game and the Free Spins feature, enriching the gameplay with new layers of excitement.

The slot operates on a 4x5x5x5x5x4 grid configuration, providing players with 10,000 ways to win. Its thematic elements evoke the expansive grasslands of North America, featuring animals such as deer, wolves, cougars, and eagles alongside the iconic buffalo symbols. Players secure wins by landing at least three matching symbols on adjacent reels, regardless of their actual positions.

PowerGrid Mechanics for Enhanced Winning Potential

A standout feature of the Primal Buffalo PowerGrid is its dual PowerGrids, situated on reels 2–3 and 4–5, which function independently and further expand the potential for player rewards. The coin symbols are at the heart of this mechanic; each time a coin lands, it activates the corresponding PowerGrid.

Once a grid is triggered, it remains locked for three spins, awaiting additional coin symbols which reset the lock timer, providing more chances to complete the grid. Completion of a grid leads to the summation of the coin values, offering a payout alongside standard wins. Each PowerGrid can culminate in winnings simultaneously due to their independent operation.

The game also includes Prize Reel symbols within the PowerGrids, which activate the Ultra Prize Reel spin. Players have the chance to earn multipliers for locked coins, hit MINI, MINOR, MAJOR or GRAND jackpots, or activate a COLLECT symbol which applies an instant win and terminates the feature for that spin.

Free Spins and Additional Features

Players can trigger the Free Spins feature by obtaining at least three buffalo scatter symbols. The number of Free Spins awarded increases with the number of scatters—three scatters grant six Free Spins, whereas four, five, or six scatters provide 8, 10, or 12 spins, respectively.

During this phase, the values of the coins are only tallied and paid at the end. Completed PowerGrids dispense their gathered prizes before resetting, allowing for further completions and offering repeated opportunities to trigger the Ultra Prize Reel.

The Free Spins session allows coin accumulation, which assists in grid completion and expands the potential wins available during this gameplay mode. Players can also enhance their experience by accessing the Free Spins feature instantly via the Buy Bonus option, available at a cost of 20 times their selected wager.

This blend of persistent coins and two autonomous grids can produce innumerable grid sums, while the Ultra Prize Reel introduces possibilities of multipliers and jackpot prizes, ensuring a thrilling gaming experience.

Craig Asling, the Director of Games at Booming Games, describes this new slot as "an action-packed new entry in our popular Buffalo series of slots, Primal Buffalo PowerGrid offers an entirely new twist on the format thanks to its unique PowerGrid system. With this innovative mechanic capable of adding coin wins and jackpot prizes to every spin in both the base game and the bonus, it’s one of our most ambitious features to date and will surely prove to be a huge hit with players and operators alike.”

This launch continues to expand Booming Games' slot portfolio, introducing a captivating mechanism that functions in both the foundational game and the Free Spins, enhancing the series with compelling new dynamics.
