• Microgaming Coming to State Lotteries through Betware

    An agreement has been reached between Betware and Microgaming where as Betware will now be licensed to sell and market the Microgaming online casino games to lotteries at both the state and national level.

    Betware is a gaming and solution services vendor that started in 1996 and based in Iceland. It also has established regional offices in Denmark, Spain, Poland and Canada. The company boasts on its website it is “all a lottery or gaming company needs”. It has been offering gaming solutions to the British Columbia Lottery Corporation since 2004.

    Stefán Hrafnkelsson, CEO of Betware said,

    “We are very proud and excited to be licensed to sell and market Microgaming’s casino games to growing markets. This agreement significantly expands our product offering, and provides our customers with a great opportunity to leverage on the fantastic success of the Microgaming brand. Ultimately we believe that this venture will not only be beneficial for the state lotteries we service, but for both ourselves and Microgaming too.”

    Microgaming is a leading online software provider and is the power behind 120 online casinos and 40 online poker rooms’ offering over 400 games to choose from.

    Roger Raatgever, Microgaming’s CEO said this about the new agreement,

    “We are delighted to be able to license our casino games to Betware, which is truly a market leader in its field. Betware’s long history in gaming combined with its extensive lottery network will be beneficial in pushing the Microgaming brand into exciting new territories and markets.
