Poker.com

One of the newest poker sites available is Poker.com. Launched early in 2005, they are one of the fastest growing poker sites at this time. There are more than 4,000 players online at peak hours and this number is growing quickly.

This has been accomplished by offering solid software, instant payouts by Neteller and $5,000 in daily freerolls. They offer a free download of the poker software as well as play money tables to test the software and practice your skills.

The software is one of my favorites with bright colors and a very user-friendly interface. In the lobby you can choose between regular poker tables and tournaments and then between holdem and Omaha in regular games and sit-n-go's and scheduled tournaments under the tournament tab.

Finally, you can sort each available table by stakes, blinds, number of players, wait, average pot, flop percentage and hands per hour. The tables are easy to see with the bright color scheme and the action buttons are large enough to use easily and centered at the bottom of the screen.

The amount in the pot is displayed in the center of the table and the amount of all current bets is displayed beside the pot amount so you can quickly determine your pot odds.

Like most poker rooms, there is an option that allows you to chat with your opponents at the bottom left of the screen.

A nice feature at Poker.com is the ability to "tag" your opponents with one of six identifiers along with the ability to keep detailed notes. Left clicking on a player, entering the notes in the box that pops up and choosing a tag accomplishes this. The tags are shark, fish, buddy, king etc.

Poker.com offers limit and no-limit holdem as well as limit, pot-limit and no-limit Omaha. Limit holdem is available from .02/.04 to 30/60 and no-limit with blinds from .10/.25 to 25/50. Limit Omaha is available from .02/.04 to 5/10, pot-limit with blinds from .10/.25 to .50/1 and no-limit from .10/.25 to 5/10.

One of the biggest drawing points of Poker.com is the $5,000 worth of freerolls that run every day. They run one $3,000, two $500 and five $200 holdem freerolls every day. In addition there are also multi-table tournaments with buy-ins from 1.10 to 5.50.

Single table tournaments are available in both six and ten player tables with buy-ins from 1.10 to 525.

The last unique feature is the availability of instant payouts to your Neteller account. I have tested this system and have found that the payout was in my account in less than sixty seconds.

I have yet to find another room that offers this.
