Poker.com is an online poker room. According to our earlier review it launched in early 2005. Most of the details below come from that review. Poker Software

The room offers a free download of its poker software. It also has play-money tables, so you can test the software and practise before you play for real money.

The earlier review described the lobby as colourful and easy to use. You choose between regular tables and tournaments. Regular games are Texas hold’em and Omaha. Sit-n-go and scheduled tournaments are under the tournament tab. You can sort the tables by stakes, blinds, number of players, wait, average pot, flop percentage and hands per hour.

At the table the action buttons are large and centred at the bottom of the screen. The pot is shown in the centre, with the total of the current bets beside it, so you can work out your pot odds quickly. A chat box for talking to your opponents is at the bottom left.

The software lets you tag an opponent with one of six identifiers, such as shark, fish, buddy or king, and keep detailed notes. You left-click a player, type the note in the box that opens and choose a tag.

Games and Tournaments

Poker.com offers limit and no-limit hold’em, and limit, pot-limit and no-limit Omaha. The review noted micro limits among the stakes.

The room also ran daily freerolls and multi-table tournaments. Single-table tournaments were available at six-player and ten-player tables. Schedules, prizes and buy-ins change, so check the tournament lobby for what is running now.
