SOFTSWISS, an eminent name in global iGaming technology, has recently unveiled its 2026 iGaming Trends Report. This report, developed in collaboration with NEXT.io, is the fourth iteration of their annual study that offers a comprehensive outlook into the trajectory of the iGaming sector. By assessing the global landscape, the report aims to equip operators, suppliers, and stakeholders with the insights they need to navigate upcoming industry transformations effectively. Drawing from over 350 industry experts and an AI-driven analysis encompassing more than 120,000 media reports, the study presents an in-depth exploration of how technology, regulation, marketing, cybersecurity, and responsible gambling are evolving. With independent research from Kantar complementing insights from 30 SOFTSWISS experts, the findings provide a holistic view of future trends.
Key Developments in Technology and Regulation
One of the standout revelations of the report is the escalating prominence of artificial intelligence (AI) within the industry. AI's significance scored an impressive 8.41 out of 10, rising from 8.15 the prior year. A striking 56% of surveyed companies identified the integration of AI as one of their top business objectives. The marketplace is observing a shift with a decline in influencer marketing dominance, which has receded by 10 percentage points since 2023. In contrast, player trust and brand reputation have gained significant traction, surpassing bonuses as central elements in acquisition strategies. The focus is now on brand-driven ecosystems, where metrics such as Top of Mind awareness and Purchase Intent are being prioritized as long-term key performance indicators. Regulatory landscapes are also shifting with markets like Brazil, Finland, and France embracing competitive licensing frameworks, while countries such as the UK and Lithuania are tightening advertising regulations. Notably, Ontario and Greece are at the forefront, mandating AI technology for real-time monitoring of player behavior to bolster responsible gaming.
SOFTSWISS Marketing Excellence Recognized
In addition to their industry insights, SOFTSWISS was celebrated for their outstanding marketing prowess. At the SiGMA Central Europe Awards, they secured the Best Marketing Campaign 2025 accolade for their "Hungry for Success? Dive in with SOFTSWISS" initiative. This campaign, which debuted at ICE Barcelona 2025, is symbolized by a shark motif, representing precision and strength. It also featured a captivating live art performance by Slim Safont, a Spanish street artist. The campaign successfully achieved remarkable digital engagement across platforms like LinkedIn, Instagram, and Google Ads. Valentina Bagniya, Chief Marketing Officer at SOFTSWISS, expressed that ââHungry for Successâ isnât just a campaign â itâs our mindset,â embodying the brand's ambition, bravery, and leadership. This win is part of a series of recognitions, following their "Cheers to 15 Years" victory at SiGMA Africa and multiple accolades at the EGR Marketing & Innovation Awards, where Bagniya was honored as B2B Marketer of the Year. The company further plans to delve into these insights at the 2026 iGaming Trends Marathon happening during the SiGMA Central Europe Summit on November 5, 2025.
