Curaçao's 2026 Supplier Deadline and Regulatory Update

The Curaçao Gaming Authority (CGA) has set forth new regulatory measures requiring compliance under the National Ordinance on Games of Chance (LOK) by December 24, 2026. This initiative concludes a two-year grace period, compelling both domestic and international entities involved in the online gambling industry to adhere to specific licensing and registration mandates.

Distinct Obligations for Local and International Entities

For local companies operating out of Curaçao that provide essential goods and services to licensed gambling operators, the LOK under Article 1.5(1) mandates securing a supplier licence from the CGA as well as completing the necessary registration. While these constraints don’t extend to foreign suppliers, companies outside of Curaçao offering critical products or services to Curaçao license holders must register with the CGA by the stipulated deadline. Notably, overseas suppliers are subject to registration though not licensing.

Ensuring Compliance and Broad Sector Impact

The CGA outlines numerous categories falling under critical services and goods including operators like RNG game manufacturers, live dealer studios, and more. Changes also affect business-to-consumer licensees bound by Article 5.16(4) of the LOK, compelling them to confirm that all suppliers are registered. Additionally, Article 5.16(1) obligates the CGA to maintain a publicly accessible registry of recognized suppliers. The CGA has initiated processes to facilitate this transition, with applications for supplier licenses now available via the CGA Online Gaming portal. As the December 2026 deadline approaches, registration for both domestic and international suppliers will begin in October 2026.
