Distribution deals are an extremely important part of today's online casino industry, and the new signing between GVC and Pragmatic Play is a good example. The latter will have more than 80 of their online slots released on a number of GVC's top brands over the next several weeks as a part of an initial roll-out.

    Which Brands Are Included?

Some of the biggest names in the industry will be getting these games as a result of this deal. This includes brands like PartyCasino and bwin. Other GVC brands like Gamebookers will also be included in the initial release, but other brands could be tied into that later on. An important part of this deal from GVC's standpoint is that Pragmatic Play has an aggressive release schedule, and that means new games coming out on a regular basis that would add fresh content to their brands at a quick pace.

    Online Slot Releases

As we mentioned above, over 80 slots will be released in the initial deal, and they all use HTML5 as their platform. This is a critical part of the deal because HTML5 slots are relatively easy to move over to different platforms, and that allows content distribution agreements like this one to be made more freely. The industry as a whole has been switching over to this platform for the most part with the slow death of Flash, but not everyone has switched over yet, and that shows a major weakness in their ability to expand with deals like this one.

    Pragmatic Play in 2017

There's no way to overstate how important this deal is for Pragmatic Play and how much progress it shows since they rebranded and had new leadership several years ago. They've had lots of great releases over the past few years as well, and they've built up a much better reputation for themselves than what they had in the past under the Topgame banner.

On GVC's side, they've been involved in one way or another in some of the biggest business deals in the online gambling industry in the past few years, and that shows that they must really take Pragmatic Play seriously to put this much faith in them and their product.
