Växjö, Sweden-based online and mobile casino games developer Play'n GO has announced the acquisition of Proactive Gaming Scandinavia. The Norrköping headquartered software supplier creates mobile bingo, keno, and numbers games, mini-games, and offers a 3D poker client as well as HTML5 poker games.

Some companies supplied by Proactive Gaming Scandinavia currently include Paf Casino, 1x2-bet Poker, and Idrottens Bingo

Shared Omni-channel Outlook

Play'n GO Chief Executive Officer, Johan Törnqvist said of the agreement: "Proactive Gaming share our omni-channel outlook and development expertise, which we believe will ensure a smooth transition into our pioneering brand as we enter 2018," according to a press release from the company.

"We’ll be very happy to demonstrate at ICE 2018 how our expanded product range and back-office capabilities can appeal to those in regulated markets looking for a diverse gaming offering," said Törnqvist.

He said Play'n GO is always looking to 'push the boundaries of what a supplier can achieve' and noted that the acquisition will allow them to enter new verticals and build upon their existing base of customers.

Delighted to Become Part of Play'n GO

Pål Burman, speaking for Proactive Gaming said: “Play’n GO have been pioneering in the casino sector for years and we’re delighted to become a part of their organization". He spoke of the companies sharing the same high standards in new game development and noted that although they are currently in different verticals, they will 'grow more than the sum of their parts' in the following years.

Proactive was founded in 2005 and develops desktop and HTML5 products for top name customers. Those partnerships are expected to continue after the acquisition.

Play'n GO was formed by a group of gaming industry consultants in the mid-90s who eventually decided to start their own company to create and provide games directly to online and mobile operators in regulated markets.
