The Be The Dealer video poker is Jacks or Better and can be played either as the player or the dealer.  Players have the option of 3 machines:

1 – Minimum bet of $.25 / Maximum bet of $1.25
2 – Minimum bet of $1 / Maximum bet of $5
3 – Minimum bet of $5 / Maximum bet of $25

As Player.

The objective of Jacks or Better video poker is exactly what the name implies.  In order to win you must have at least a two of a kind of jacks of better.  A two of a kind less than jacks or better is a losing hand.  In order to win the progressive jackpot you must hit a royal flush on a maximum bet.

Here some basics for playing Be The Dealer’s Jacks or Better Video Poker:

  • Dealer uses a single 52-card deck with no Joker and the deck is reshuffled after each hand.
  • Player is dealt a 5-card poker hand and must choose which cards they wish to hold by clicking the Deal/Draw button after the first deal. Once the player has chosen which cards to hold the remaining cards will be re-dealt.

As Dealer.

Be The Dealer offers you the option of playing as the dealer once you have received enough dealer points.

The minimum amount of dealer point required to play as the dealer is calculated as such:  (Video Poker denomination: $0.25, $1 or $5) * 249(Maximum number of credits that can be won) + 2%(Casino commission) * ( 5(Maximum number of credits in the machine) * (Machine Denomination: $0.25, $1 or $5) ).

Commission is based on 2% (1.5% + 0.5% because of the progressive jackpot) of the total bets placed against the Dealer. In addition, the Casino pays all winnings in case the Player hits a Royal Flush.
