• 888 Partners With NYX Gaming for Content

    29 November 2015

    Nyx content deal

Different business deals are always going on in the online casino world, but the ones that seem the most important these days are when an established operator adds even more games through a new content deal. That type of arrangement has happened recently as NYX Gaming has seen its NextGen content added to the list of games that 888 has to offer. This is a good deal for both parties.

    The NYX OGS Platform

While NYX produces its own games, it also has a software platform with content from multiple developers called OGS. This includes games for desktop and mobile, and what makes this deal so interesting is that hundreds of games are going to be available as soon as this deal goes live. That means 888 is adding some serious depth to its game and NYX is getting a content-distribution partnership with one of the biggest names in the business. 888 was recently engaged in a nine-figure bidding war against GVC for ownership of the bwin.party brand, so it's obvious that they have a major player outreach.

    The Games Available

The main focus of the NYX OGS platform is online slots, and that probably won't surprise anyone who is familiar with the business. Only a set number of table games are really viable up to a certain point, and that includes many variations of roulette, Baccarat, video poker, blackjack and other titles. On the other hand, thousands of slots can be made with different themes, stakes, features, layouts and concepts, and this flexible nature of the genre means that it always dominates in terms of pure numbers.

    Award-Winning Content

Around the time of this announcement, the NYX Gaming Group also announced that they had picked up the Innovation in Slot Provision award in the 2015 EGR B2B Awards. This award is all about how they provide their slots, and it's a good sign for 888 that NYX is being recognized for something on a global level that they just made a deal over. There's no doubt that NYX will deliver in a major way on this deal and provide a ton of great content, and that's exactly the sort of thing that the players at 888 are looking forward to.
