Novomatic is a company known for having a lot of interests in different parts of the online casino industry. Recently, they've advanced these interests by forming the company StakeLogic, which will be a subsidiary that focuses on making a special type of game: 3D slots using HTML5. This is a really fun development that they've first announced at the 2016 edition of the International Casino Expo, and it's good news for players who could see some really great titles come out of this.

The Importance of HTML5

Right away, what you need to understand is that HTML5 is the platform of the future for the online casino industry. Companies like Microgaming (read more), known for being a real juggernaut in the industry in terms of game quality, have been moving their titles over to HTML5 for years now because they know that it's going to beat out Adobe Flash as the top platform for instant play and mobile. Now, Novomatic is getting in on the trend with StakeLogic.

Upcoming Games

Something they've revealed about their upcoming games is what they're calling Slots 360, and the basic idea behind these games is that it uses tracking to offer players a dynamic, 3D visualization of the slot where they can look around and automatically see it from different views. This could tie in with virtual reality technology at some point, but there was no formal announcement about it. Regardless, this is something for online slots (click here for more games) fans to get really excited about because it could lead to the generation of some very high-quality titles.

About This Company

Stakelogic was previously known as Blue Gem, but more people might know it as its previous name before that, Sheriff Gaming. Financial problems were behind the number of changes in name, and Dutch authorities had to get involved at one point. Eventually, the company now known as Stakelogic was purchased by Novomatic, and this purchase included not only software but a number of key members of their staff. This included Ellen Huijbers, the wife of one of the people involved with trying to switch the company's assets over to Blue Gem during their original financial collapse under previous management.

Greentube is a subsidiary of Novomatic, and they're the ones that have created StakeLogic in the strictest sense. StakeLogic officially launched earlier this month at ICE. Greentube has been running since 1998, and they are completely owned by Novomatic, another company known for its online casino and online gambling content. Novomatic has over 20,000 employees across the globe with offices in over 40 countries. They're a huge name in the industry, and Greentube's project with StakeLogic shows that they aren't resting on their laurels. Instead, they're pushing hard to innovate and stay ahead of the curve in the online gambling world.
