Cryptologic Craps

Everyone will tell you Craps is a very intimidating game.  If you're a beginner, arm yourself with knowledge.  Don't place bets without knowing the odds.  Luck can only carry you so far!  To start the game there has to be a first roll.  The first roll is called the Come Out roll.

Start game:  If you're the Shooter, you have to place a Pass Line or Don't Pass Line bet on the Come Out roll.  After that, you can place other bets on the table.  If you aren't the shooter, you can place bets any time.

If you place a bet on the Pass Line - Throw the Come Out roll.  If you roll a 7 or 11 on the Come Out roll you win. If you roll a 2, 3 or 12 you lose.  If you roll a 4,5,6,8,9 or 10 that establishes the Point for that game.

If you place a bet on the Don't Pass Line  - Placing a bet on the Don't Pass Line has the opposite outcome of the Pass Line bet.  If you roll a 1 or 3,  you win..  If you roll a 7 or 11, you lose.  If you roll a 12 you don't win or lose and bet is still on.

You can place any of your combination bets after the Come Out roll.  The game goes on until you roll the point or a 7.  If you roll a 7 all bets are lost.  Roll the Point, you win 1:1 .  All of your other bets are still active and you roll again.  If you roll a 4,5,6,8,9 or 10 that establishes the Point for that game.  You win your side bets when the dice rolls up the betting combination.

Don't let the game intimidate you.  Learn the rules, the names of the different combination bets and above all, become familiar with the odds associated with those bets.
