The developer of casino content and operator supplier, Pragmatic Play, has announced its entry into the Colombian market with a new partner, Wplay.co.
Wplay.co is owned by the Aquila Global Group, who were given an online gambling license back in 2016 as the Colombian government decided to clamp down on unauthorized operators offering gambling to its citizens and instead regulate the market.
The move will allow Colombian gamblers to play acclaimed Pragmatic titles such as Wolf Gold, Mustang Gold, and Sweet Bonanza.
Seizing a new Market:
The deal with Wplay will be Pragmatic’s first entry into the relatively recently regulated market. In a press release, the developer stated that this is an important strategic move for them.
With its latest partner being the most popular sportsbook in the country…
…Pragmatic is poised to take a good chunk of the Colombian market with their games.
The entire portfolio is now available via a single API.
Standing Out in a Crowded Marketplace:
Yossi Barzely, Chief Business Development Officer at Pragmatic Play, said: “We are thrilled to have gone live on Wplay.co, and excited to offer brand new players our award-winning slots.
“We are always looking to enter newly regulated markets and look forward to a long and successful partnership with Wplay.co.”
Julio Cesar Tamayo, Chief Executive Officer at Wplay.co, added: “Pragmatic Play’s games stand out in a crowded marketplace, with a wide array of successful content, and we’re thrilled to have them on board. “
We’re looking forward to offering our customers the very best in immersive gaming from the slot provider’s innovative portfolio.”
Busy Quarter for the Developer:
Pragmatic has recently strengthened its position across many markets with a series of partnerships.
Only a couple weeks ago, they signed a deal to integrate their 4K and mobile-friendly live casino table games products into the SoftSwiss platform.
They have also signed deals with industry veterans 1xbet and Interwetten.
The developer has also boosted their portfolio with an agreement to include over 60 games made by Playson into its offering to operator clients.
In the run-up to iGB Live! 2019, the company unveiled its promotion and gamification tool – Enhance. The tool helps operators run promotional activities with a focus on engagement and boosting the user experience.
Pragmatic is one of the leading providers in the iGaming industry with a range of over 100 first-party and third-party mobile-friendly titles, available in a number of currencies, 26 languages and across many regulated markets.
It is known for its high-production-value live casino content which is shot in 4K resolution and features professional dealers for maximum fidelity.
