    16 July 2008

Poker fans, if you love challenges, you are going have a blast at Everest Poker! They have not one, but two great promos going on!

First is their Heads-Up Challenge that pits their top players against each other in a series of heads-up tournaments. You will compete for a share of a $20,000 prize pool!!

How do you Qualify you ask? Well here is what you have to do:

All you have to do is finish in the top 32 in at least one of their Tournament Leaderboards for the month of July, and you’re automatically qualified for the Heads-Up Tournament Challenge. Our three Tournament Leaderboards (TLBs) are:

    Sit & Go
    LowMulti-TableSit &
    Go High

They have created a bracket tournament (similar to a tennis tournament) for each of their Tournament Leaderboards. The top 32 finishers from each of July’s Tournament Leaderboards will be entered into the respective bracket and seeded according to their finish. For instance, the #1 finisher in July’s Sit & Go High TLB will be the #1 seed in the Sit & Go High Bracket.

Everest Poker will register all players for Heads-Up Challenge tournaments and participation is free. All you’ll have to do is login and play.
The winners of each round not only advance to the next round but also win cash for each match won! See below for cash prizes in each bracket. The Heads-Up Challenge will continue until only 1 player remains to be crowned Champion.
Check back to see the schedule for the Heads-Up matches that will start August 5.

Regular Daily: Open to all players, these satellites have a buy-in of 0+50 SP and are offered in three additional variations of play. The top 25 players from each daily satellite will move on to the finale.

    • Turbo: Unlike the typical 10 minute blind schedule, turbo tournaments raise the blinds and antes every 4 minutes.
    • Six Seat Table: Instead of usual 10 seats, these tables are limited to 6, allowing for faster game play.

Finale Direct Buy-in: If you want to skip qualifying in a satellite and want to go straight to the finale, you can buy in directly for 1,000 SP.
Please note that registration for satellites will only be open two hours before they start.
