The opening salvo of the next round of the war of the internet casinos has been fired. Harrah’s Entertainment has opened Caesars Casino Online, the first online casino operated by the big giants of Las Vegas.
Caesars is not accepting U.S. or German players, as it is wanting to avoid even the appearance of violating U.S. gambling laws. This is in preparation for entry into the U.S. market when the anti-online gambling laws change.
The software is being supplied by Dragonfish, though some consider their software and games to be not up to the quality of other suppliers, such as CryptoLogic and Microgaming.
So the wars to be the best positioned to enter the U.S. market when the laws change, has gotten more interesting. It remains to be seen if the entry of the land based gaming giants of Las Vegas will significantly change and improve the online product or not.
